4 Months!!

BubbleShare: Share photos - Find great Clip Art Images.

Yesterday, Livy turned 4 months old! It's so hard to believe. She's so much fun to hold, cuddle, talk to, sing to, read to and rock to sleep. Speaking of sleep, she has been sleeping through the night for a couple of weeks now. She wakes up for a few diaper changes and occasionally a dream will startle her and cause her to fuss for a few minutes, but then she soothes herself back to sleep.
Johnny and I took her in for her 4 month check-up where we learned she
weighs 15 lbs., 6 oz. (90th percentile) and is 26 1/2 inches long (97th percentile)! Also at this visit, she received more shots (boosters for her 2 month shots) and the go ahead to start rice cereal. On top of all that, our pediatrician says that her excessive drooling and constant need to chew on everything may be the first signs of teething. What a big girl!!

Orlando

Johnny, Livy and I drove to Orlando to visit Grandma and Grandpa. We strolled around Downtown Disney and Sea World. What a blast! Livy slept a good bit of the time but when she was awake, she enjoyed all the action that was happening around her. Enjoy these pictures!

New Toys and Adventures

Livy has collected quite a few toys lately! Currently, her favorite toys include the Bumbo seat, the rainforest jumperoo, the kick-n-play piano and her little sock monkey she got from Gramps.

She loves her Bumbo seat because she gets to sit up like a big girl and look around. It is amazing to see her hold her head up by herself. Time flies!

The jumperoo is great because she can spin around on her own and the best part has to be the music and lights that go off each time she moves! It always makes her laugh and make cute little babbling sounds.

While hanging out in her little play gym or in her crib she can kick her legs (which she loves to do) and the kick-n-play piano plays classical music and lights up for her. It also plays animal sounds - her two favorite sounds seem to be the cow and the elephant. Thanks Uncle Chip and Aunt Denise!

All the while, when hanging out in her swing, she feels best when sock monkey is around. The extra long arms and legs make him easier for her to eat which is a good thing since she loves to put everything into her mouth lately.

Livy also has a lot to say nowadays. Her days are filled with little coos and other sounds of excitement - even spurts of screams when she gets really excited about something.

Above all, I have discovered that her favorite "toy" of all is Daddy. He makes her smile and laugh all the time!

As you can tell, Livy's days have been full of new adventures. Last Sunday, Livy got to meet her Great Grandfather "Pop-Pop" and Great Grandmother "Gramma Vic". She was sure to greet them with lots of smiles and of course a big crying fit when she decided was she too tired to take any more excitement - a bottle and a good long nap helped out quite a bit.
Enjoy these pictures from her latest adventures!

December

Whew!! December was such a busy month for our family!
We started off by traveling to North Carolina for Johnny's graduation from NC State! Then we drove back home, packed up again and headed down to the Keys for Christmas! We really enjoyed traveling with Olivia and we only managed to get sick once during all of our travels. As always, it was so much fun visiting with family and friends.
Here are some pictures...
