Weekender

Last weekend we all went down to the Keys! During our visit we took family pictures, had a scrumptious "February Birthday" dinner (we have a bunch of February Birthdays in the family), attended the Nautical Flea Market and an awesome wedding where we got to meet up with old friends, ate lunch at the City Hall Cafe (Yum!), visited with Islander guests, hung out with family and to top it off, Livy was baptized on Sunday after which we had a family picnic. As for Livy, she smiled, giggled and babbled (she has discovered that she has a voice:)) the whole weekened. What a love bug! It's hard to believe that she'll be five months old February 26th! Did I mention that Johnny and I even got to lay in the sun and swim for a couple of hours on Friday? Thanks to Grana for watching the little one! I'm still collecting pictures but I do have some to post for now - thank goodness the nation's premiere photographer was in town this weekend. Thanks Gramps! It doesn't get much better than this!

Sweet Things

Happy Valentine's Day!
The other day, Livy made a Valentine card for Daddy. She loves
to grab things, in this case crayons, so it was really fun to see her
run the crayon across a piece of red construction paper. I couldn't
resist tracing her little hands onto the paper as well. Of course, Livy's
project wouldn't be complete without first tasting the crayon:)



































When she was finished with her masterpiece, she chewed on her feet for awhile.


Then, she read a book with Daddy!


















Next, we went for a long walk and Livy fell asleep on the way back.

Rolling into Solids!

This week, Livy rolled over for the first time (front to back) and has started eating solid foods. Well, not totally solid but rice cereal no less. Even though we are still at the beginning stages, it's fun to see her attempt to eat off of a spoon. Our goal is for her to figure out what to do with the food once it's in her mouth. Good times!! Maybe sometime in the near future I'll learn how to upload a video and I'll post her rolling over. In the meantime, here are some pictures of her first eating adventure along with some other random pictures.
By the way, as you will see in the pictures, Ellie couldn't be more thrilled at one of Livy's new firsts.
