The Rocking Horse

About two years ago, Johnny began the project of building a rocking horse for Livy. He has worked on it here and there amidst taking care of and spending time with a newborn, moving into a house, working full-time, traveling and various other events/projects. Johnny stuck with it and the final product is almost complete! He is now in the process of staining the horse a walnut color. Johnny has also decided to put Livy's hand and foot prints on the bottom of the seat. We'll be posting pictures of the finished product soon but for now, here are a few pictures of the various stages of his project so far:

Baby!

How could I have forgotten to put the word, "baby" on the previous post!
Livy says, "baby" each time she sees a picture of a baby, looks in the mirror or passes another baby in the store or at a playgroup. So, we'll add "baby" to the ongoing list!

Sweet Talking Girl

Livy has been taking good care of her teddy bear lately.
She's been busy giving him water when he's thirsty
...

And feeding him goldfish when he's hungry

Her favorite zoo animal is the "fishy!"

Livy loves to ride on Daddy's shoulders

Especially when he runs her through the trees

Daddy's Livy Girl

Livy has been developing quite the vocabulary lately. Here is a list of some of the words/phrases/sounds she says each day:

Momma
HaHa - (Dadda)
Papa
K.C.
bottle (sippy cup)
kitty

Livy is just beginning to shake her head to say, "no" when we ask her a question.
